Ministries

God calls together his people to meet with him. What a privilege!

In the Worship Service, God speaks to us in His Word, the Bible and He speaks to us through the preaching of that same Bible. We speak to God in our prayers, songs, creeds and confessions. Please join us so that you can participate in the worship of God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength. God bless you richly!

Children and Youth Classes

There are Sunday School classes for all ages. The teachers, who are seasoned Christians, use Great Commission Curriculum.

Adult Class

The Adult Sunday School class is viewing and discussing a video series called Faith Lessons, which was filmed on location in Israel.  By weaving together the Bible’s fascinating historical, cultural, religious, and geographical contexts, teacher and historian Ray Vander Laan reveals keen insights into the Scriptures’ significance for modern believers.  These illuminating “faith lessons” afford a new understanding of the Bible that will ground your convictions and transform your life.

Adults

Building a Christian Conscience

RC Sproul

In the Adult Study at Discipleship Hour each Sunday evening we get together to go just a little deeper in our Christian thinking.

This fall we are going to think about Christian ethics and morality by viewing and discussing lectures by RC Sproul.

Do you know what the difference is between ethics and morals?  Are you more of an Antinomian or a Legalist?  How do you decide what is right and wrong in those grey areas of ethics?  Is it true that “you can’t legislate morality”?  How are you to deal with matters of conscience?

These are the kind of issues we will be coming to understand and deal with in a more Biblical way as we go through the study by RC Sproul entitled “Building a Christian Conscience”

What are you doing Sunday evenings between 5:30 and 7:00 p.m.? Probably not much.  Well, this is just a 6 weeks study and I would encourage you to commit the next 6 Sunday evenings to this very interesting and relevant study.

We start by watching the DVD for about 20 minutes and then we have a discussion on the issues that were presented.

The Lord gave us a “Lord’s Day” each Sunday, not just a “Lord’s Hour or Two” Sunday morning. Join us Sunday evening for the next few weeks and see what a blessing it will be.

 Led by Pastor Mike.

Pioneer Clubs

grades K-6

Pioneer Club is a Christ-centered, Bible-based club that helps boys and girls build healthy relationships with caring adults, peers and most importantly, Jesus Christ. The theme of this year’s club is “Discovering God’s Love”. Come join us for Bible study along with great crafts, fun games and cool badges.  See Pam Dengerink for more information and so that she can order a special club shirt.

Grace Groups

Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. and Fridays at 7:30

Pastor Mike will be leading studies on Colossians & Philemon: Two crises in the church in the city of Colosse send visitors to Paul in Prison.  First, an old friend brings news that false teachers are belittling Christ, laying down additional rules, and boasting of secret knowledge that goes beyond the gospel. Then, a runaway slave begs Paul to ask his Christian master for mercy.  The letters Paul writes to handle these dilemmas—his words exalting Christ and    affirming a true Christian lifestyle—remain foundational for understanding Christ and his work in us and are as applicable today as they were when they were first written.  To find out more about these Grace Groups or to order a book for the study, talk to Pastor Mike (516-2735).

Every other Friday at 7:30 in Antioch

Elder John Davis will be leading a Bible Study at his house every other Friday evening.    For more information contact John Davis (706-7086).

Meets at the Davis' (600 Alumrock Drive, Antioch)
